This test will determine whether you have HIV Type 2. There are two main types of HIV: HIV 1 and HIV 2. HIV 2 is less common. This test will tell you if you have HIV type 2 only.
This test uses a single blood sample. When you arrive at a Better2Know sexual health clinic for your appointment, a medical professional will take your blood sample and send it to our accredited laboratory to be analysed.
Your results will be positive or negative for HIV type 2. If you are positive this means you have HIV Type 2. If you are negative this means that you do not have HIV Type 2. You may be positive for another HIV type.
You can easily book this HIV Type 2 test by clicking on "Get Started" at the top of this page. Follow the instructions provided by choosing a sexual health clinic near you.
