Schistosomiasis, which is also called bilharzia or snail fever is a common disease caused by infection with a parasitic flatworm. You can catch this infection from wading or washing in dirty fresh water such as ponds, lakes, streams and canals and is common across Africa, South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia. The tiny worms burrow into your skin and enter your blood stream where they move around the body whilst laying eggs. The worms can affect your intestines and urinary tract, giving you abdominal pains, diarrhoea and blood in your stool and urine.
Malarial Antibodies
Malaria is a common and serious disease that is spread by mosquitos and can potentially be fatal. Malaria is caused by a parasite that enters your body from the bite of an infected mosquito and is common across tropical regions and Africa. Symptoms of Malaria include Fever, Chills, Headache, Vomiting, Muscle Aches, and Seizures.
