Tiredness Test
A nine-marker blood test investigating thyroid, diabetes and anaemia as common causes of persistent tiredness, in one at-home sample.
- At-home test
Analyses 29 biomarkers across full blood count, kidney, liver, thyroid and vitamin markers to help explore possible causes of low energy. Suits anyone with persistent, unexplained tiredness who wants a broad first look before seeing a GP.
29 biomarkers as listed by MyHealthChecked.
This test looks at 29 biomarkers grouped around possible causes of persistent tiredness: a full blood count, kidney markers (creatinine, eGFR, sodium, urea), liver markers, thyroid hormones (TSH and free T4), inflammation (CRP), and key vitamins and minerals including B12, folate, vitamin D and ferritin. Because fatigue can have many different underlying causes, from thyroid problems to nutrient deficiencies, this breadth is designed to screen several possibilities in one round.
We do not currently track other tests in the same comparison group, so there is no direct price benchmark for this £130 panel. Based on biomarker count alone it sits at the top of the energy and fatigue tests we track more broadly.
The clinical depth score is at the maximum for this reason, and results and follow-up scores well because a GP reviews the results and provides recommendations. The value for money score is more middling, reflecting that £130 cannot yet be checked against directly comparable tests.
This suits anyone with ongoing, unexplained low energy who wants a wide first look across blood count, organ function, thyroid and key vitamins in one test, rather than testing one marker at a time. As there are no directly comparable tests in our data yet, we cannot say whether a narrower, cheaper alternative would cover the same ground for less; if you already suspect one specific cause, such as low vitamin D or an underactive thyroid, MyHealthChecked's own single-marker rapid tests or its Thyroid Profile Blood Test would be a cheaper way to check that one marker.
You take a finger-prick blood sample at home and post it to MyHealthChecked's UK laboratory. Results are ready in 2 to 3 working days, and a GP reviews them and adds recommendations before you get your report.
The listing publishes a detailed description, the full biomarker list, a stated turnaround, clear collection options, the sample type; it does not state what the report looks like.
29 biomarkers, placing it in the 100th percentile of energy fatigue tests we track.
Can be done at home; results within 5 days.
