Some cancers run in families - knowing your risk can make all the difference. Around 1 in 10 cancers are caused by hereditary gene mutations. Our genetic cancer risk test screens for mutations in 113 genes associated with an increased risk of breast, ovarian, prostate, colorectal and thyroid cancer. With this insight you can make informed decisions to help protect your health.

A genetic mutation could mean you have a higher risk of developing cancer. For example, a mutation in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene is a common cause of hereditary breast cancer. If a genetic variant linked to an increased risk of cancer is found there are options to help reduce your risk including lifestyle changes, regular screening, and in some cases, risk reducing surgery.
