If you are worried about a recent sexual encounter and want a clear understanding of your sexual health as soon as possible, this screen provides early, comprehensive answers. While some STI tests require four weeks or more to provide reliable results, the Early Platinum Screen is effective from just 14 days after exposure.
By using advanced PCR testing methods, this screen offers highly accurate detection of infections, even in their early stages.
This screen requires both a blood sample and a urine sample. At your clinic appointment, a trained clinician will take a blood sample from your arm, and you will provide a urine sample in private. No uncomfortable swabs are required for this screen.
You do not need to fast or make any special preparations before your appointment.
Your appointment is quick and straightforward. A qualified healthcare professional will collect your blood sample, and you will provide your urine sample during the same visit.
Your samples will be sent to our accredited laboratory for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days and will be uploaded to your secure online Patient Area. You may also choose to receive notification by SMS or email when your results are ready.
If any infection is detected, Better2Know will support you in accessing the care and treatment you need. We can arrange a consultation with a Better2Know doctor to discuss your results and provide appropriate medication or guidance.
For infections requiring specialist management, such as HIV or Hepatitis B, we will refer you to the appropriate specialist service for ongoing care.
