From the Pituitary to the Adrenal gland, via the Thyroid gland
6 biomarkers as listed by Blue Horizon Medicals.
Ideal for those keen to check the HPA (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis).
A little bit more than a standard adrenal check - cortisol and DHEAS for adrenal function, and the main sex hormones - oestradiol and testosterone, but also free thyroxine (Free T4) and its pituitary gland produced stimulant TSH. Suitable for both female and male clients, this collection of hormone tests will give excellent insight into the HPA (hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis) as all these hormones are linked in some way. Cortisol is converted to DHEAS which in turn is converted to testosterone and oestradiol, while a normal level of TSH implies likely normal pituitary gland function (which is necessary for satisfactory adrenal gland control).
