The NHS now offer this test to everyone in the UK over the age of 55, every 2 years. Bowel cancer is a serious but very treatable condition if detected early enough - ideally before any symptoms arise. Although less common before the age of 50, there are many incidences of the disease diagnosed in younger people too.
