About this test

Discover if you are at increased risk of genetic haemochromatosis, or iron overload with genetic testing.

Make healthier, informed choices based on your genetic blueprint.

Genetic Haemochromatosis is an extremely common inherited condition, also known as iron overload disorder, which causes your body to absorb too much iron leading to serious complications like heart disease and liver disease if left untreated. Symptoms like fatigue, joint pain, palpitations or stomach discomfort could be signs of iron overload. With early testing, it's possible to treat the condition before it causes serious health problems. Our convenient haemochromatosis test looks for key changes in the HFE gene. If you have a family history, it's a smart step for both you and your loved ones.

  • Simple blood test in clinic
  • Genetic testing for mutations in the HFE gene (C282Y, H63D and S65C)
  • Results within 7 days from receipt of sample at lab
