About this test

Type 1 Diabetes and Coeliac Disease are closely linked autoimmune conditions that can develop silently before symptoms appear.

Using a combination of genetic testing and autoantibody analysis, this test helps can help identify whether you may be at higher risk of developing Type 1 Diabetes or Coeliac Disease.

Type 1 Diabetes and Coeliac Disease are closely linked autoimmune conditions. Estimates state up to 40% of people over 30 with Type 1 Diabetes are initially misdiagnosed, while Coeliac Disease is found in 10% of individuals with Type 1 Diabetes. This novel test combines genetic testing for Type 1 diabetes and Coeliac Disease with autoantibody screening to help identify whether you may be at increased risk and detect signs of autoimmune activity. Earlier identification of Type 1 Diabetes risk may also provide access to new therapies designed to help delay the onset of the condition.

  • Results within 7 days from receipt of sample at lab
  • DNA analysis and autoantibody testing from a simple blood sample
  • Identify if you are at an increased risk of T1D and Coeliac Disease
