The Essential Health Screen gives you the opportunity to assess different aspects of your health, to give an overall picture. The test package includes:

  • Diabetes - test to see if you have diabetes or whether you may be at risk of developing diabetes
  • Vitamin D - test your level of this key hormone, which controls bone health and blood calcium levels
  • Total Cholesterol - test your full cholesterol profile to help understand your risk of cardiovascular disease
  • Thyroid - test to check if you have an underactive or overactive thyroid


Preparation

For the most accurate results, we recommend taking this test first thing in the morning, before eating and before taking any supplements on the day of testing.

If you take levothyroxine, take your blood test before taking your dose on the day of testing, unless your doctor has been advised otherwise.

Drinking water is encouraged before your test. Being well hydrated can make it easier to collect your blood sample and does not affect your results.
